Hello, Band Families!
Please join us Tuesday, October 22nd, in the band room for our October meeting at 6 pm. There is a lot to discuss at this meeting, so please make plans to attend if you are able:
– Round 1 playoff game Friday, November 8th — travel to Mobile area (Saraland) or Spanish Fort is expected based on current rankings for our region. Charter bus rental cost is approximately $16,000 for the full band, and availability is limited. This is funding that will need to be voted on and approved at the meeting.
– Spring trip fundraisers — sock fundraiser completed last week. Candle sale will take place before the Christmas break. Students may earn credit toward their costs for the spring trip. Those not attending the trip may earn credit to apply to next year’s band fees.
– Fall concert is next week, and the schedule for remaining concerts was sent out by Mr. Lawley today. (This information will also be posted to chelseaband.com).
Minutes from the September meeting are attached and will be reviewed and adopted at the meeting. We hope to see everyone tomorrow night.
