Happy Friday!
We are doing an onboarding session today for students regarding our Schoolfundr fundraiser.
The official kick-off for this fundraiser is now Monday, March 9. It was originally today but we moved to Monday so students could do some prep work today.
Over the weekend, please help your child enter as many emails as you can in their account! It doesn’t have to be family members – think about local businesses, small business owners, your termite and pest control folks, your mortgage broker, etc.!! The more emails we can enter the more reach we will have and therefore better success!
As stated in an email sent Monday (which is copied below) our goals for the fundraiser are to continue band locker renovations, purchase new equipment, and help fund props for the 2026 halftime show.
Thank you for your support! Have a great weekend!

March is Music in Our Schools Month, and we are excited to partner with Schoolfundr for our annual band fundraiser! This fundraiser plays a vital role in helping us continue to grow and improve our program while keeping student costs as low as possible. Every dollar raised goes directly back into providing better equipment, facilities, and performance opportunities for our students.
Students have received physical flyers with detailed instructions on how to create their fundraising profile. Setting up a profile is quick and simple, and once completed, students can easily share their personalized fundraising link with family and friends through email, text, and social media.

We are asking each student to collect and enter at least 20 email addresses into the platform by our kickoff date on March 9th. Please note that these emails cannot be affiliated with Shelby County Schools. Entering emails early gives students a strong start and increases the likelihood of reaching (and exceeding!) their fundraising goal. This fundraiser is entirely online, making it easy for out of town family and friends to support our program. Even small donations add up quickly when everyone participates.
Fundraising Goal: $30,000
Funds raised will support the following projects:
– New band lockers and equipment to improve organization and instrument storage.
– New drumline equipment to enhance sound and quality of performances.
– Props for our upcoming halftime show 8-BIT, helping us create an exciting and visually engaging production for audiences.
Student Incentives
We are also excited to offer incentives for participating students. Any student who raises $200 or more will be invited to a taco bar celebration during the school day in April! This is our way of recognizing their hard work and commitment to supporting the band.
We truly appreciate your continued support of our program. With everyone’s participation, we are confident this will be a successful and impactful fundraiser for our students.
