Please read carefully for important announcements! There is a LOT of information here, so please bear with me and read through it.
Spirit Pack distribution:
*Spirit Pack orders were passed out today.
*Students should have double-checked sizes and orders before leaving school.
*Any discrepancies in sizes or other issues need to be reported to the Band Boosters at chelseahighband2012@gmail.com.
*Please write your name in permanent marker on the inside of the Dinkles to help when shoes are left lying around.
Pictures tomorrow, July 31:
*Band pictures with Iron City Studios will take place tomorrow.
*For auxiliary members, please refer to sponsor instructions for what to wear.
*Auxiliary members will report at 8am to the football stadium dressed and ready for pictures.
*Auxiliary members will have group and individual pictures taken first, then the full band photo at 9am.
*Auxiliary members will be the first group dismissed, usually after the full band photo around 9:15 to 9:30.
*Instrumentalists will report to the band room at 8am.
*Instrumentalists will wear the new gray shirt that was distributed in today’s spirit pack as well as the black band shorts, long black socks, and Dinkles.
*Instrumentalists will put on uniforms and then head outside for the full band photo at 9am.
*Following the full band photo, instrumentalists will take section and individual pictures.
*Dismissal time is different for each group, but all pictures should be wrapped up and all students done no later than 12pm.
Parent Preview, August 1:
*We look forward to performing the halftime show for parents and friends at 7pm on Thursday, August 1.
*This will take place in the Chelsea High football stadium.
*Students will practice from 4-6pm, with a break at 6:00 to change, eat a quick bite, and get ready for the performance.
*If students want to eat something quick during the break at 6:00, please plan ahead for that. Send food, have food brought to them, etc.
*Auxiliary members will refer to sponsor instructions for what to wear.
*Instrumentalists will wear the new blue show shirt that was distributed in spirit packs. They will wear khaki shorts (or as close as they can get) and tennis shoes.
Schedule after Parent Preview:
*There is no band practice from August 2-7. Enjoy a little break!
*The first day of school is August 8. We will practice that afternoon from 3:30 to 5:30.
*We will practice Friday, August 9 after school from 3:30 to 5:30.
*Starting the week of August 12, we will get into the routine of after school practices each Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30.
Video filming session, August 15:
*We will practice after school on Thursday, August 15 as normal.
*We will stay at school at the end of practice.
*We will feed the students. Food options will be announced later.
*Once it is a little darker, we will change into full uniform and go to the stadium for a filming session.
*We will create video that will be used in the band video for the stadium Jumbotron.
*Tentative dismissal for that evening will be 8pm.

Community Pep Rally, August 16:
*The band will perform as part of the Community Pep Rally on Friday, August 16.
*We will practice after school and stay at the school until the end of the pep rally.
*We will feed the students that evening.
